Why Responsible Gambling Matters

At 150vip, responsible gambling is not a legal footer — it is a design principle. Here is how we approach player welfare for users across Pakistan, from Karachi to Peshawar.

Gambling Is Entertainment, Not Income

Gambling outcomes are determined by chance. No strategy guarantees a profit, and the house edge means that over a long enough period, losses are statistically expected. 150vip presents this reality clearly rather than glossing over it. Play for fun — never as a financial plan.

Set a Budget Before You Play

Decide how much you are comfortable spending before you open a game or place a bet. In Pakistani terms: if your entertainment budget for the week is PKR 2,000, that is your ceiling — regardless of wins, losses, or the temptation to chase a result. Use our deposit limit tools to enforce this for yourself.

Time Has Value Too

Extended sessions increase impulsive decision-making. Set a session time limit before you start — whether that is 30 minutes watching PSL odds or an hour on live casino. Our session timer tools help you stick to that plan, so gambling stays within the time you allocated to it.

Never Chase Losses

Loss chasing is the most common pathway into problem gambling. If you have hit your budget for the day, stop — regardless of how close a win felt. A loss is the cost of the entertainment you have already had. Chasing it with more money rarely ends well and often makes things significantly worse.

Gambling in a Clear Headspace

Avoid gambling when you are emotionally distressed, under the influence of alcohol, or under significant financial pressure. Decisions made in these states tend to be impulsive and disproportionate to your actual financial situation. Good gambling sessions start with a clear head.

Balance With Life

Gambling should be one small part of a balanced lifestyle — not the central activity around which everything else revolves. If you notice that gambling is displacing other activities you used to enjoy, social relationships, work commitments or family responsibilities, that is a sign to step back and reassess.

Your Safe Play Toolkit

These controls are available in your account settings. They are designed to be easy to activate and effective immediately. You do not need to call anyone or wait for approval — set them yourself, at any time.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week or month. Once reached, no further deposits will be accepted until the limit period resets. Limit reductions take effect immediately; increases require a cooling-off period to take effect.

Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you can lose within a defined period. When your loss limit is reached, your session will end automatically and you will not be able to continue wagering until the limit period refreshes. This is one of the most effective tools for preventing large single-session losses.

Session Time Limits

Define the maximum duration of any individual gambling session. When the timer expires, you will receive a notification and your session will be closed. You can also enable reality check reminders that appear at regular intervals to show you how long you have been playing.

Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break from gambling — choose a period of 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During a cooling-off period, your account remains open and accessible for non-gambling activities, but wagers cannot be placed and deposits cannot be made.

Self-Exclusion

Request a longer-term exclusion from gambling on the Platform — from 6 months up to 5 years, or permanently. Self-exclusion requests are processed promptly. Once active, you will not be able to log in, deposit or wager for the duration of the exclusion period.

Marketing Opt-Out

Remove yourself from all promotional communications, bonus offers and marketing emails at any time. Removing yourself from marketing does not affect your ability to use the Platform — it simply means you will not receive promotional prompts that could encourage unplanned gambling sessions.

Reality Check Reminders

Set pop-up reminders at intervals of your choice — every 15, 30 or 60 minutes — that display how long you have been playing and the net result of your session. These periodic interruptions are proven to reduce impulsive play and encourage informed decisions.

Account Activity History

Review your full deposit, withdrawal, wager and bonus history at any time through your account dashboard. Transparency about your own activity is a powerful tool for staying on top of your gambling behaviour and recognising patterns early.

Setting Smart Limits for Pakistani Players

Limits work best when they are set proactively — before a session starts — rather than reactively after a loss. Here is a practical framework for Pakistani users thinking about how to manage their gambling budgets sensibly.

Weekly Deposit Limit

Decide what you can comfortably afford to lose in a given week — not what you expect to win. Your deposit limit should reflect this figure, not your income. Once set, reduce it before increasing it: limit reductions are instant; increases involve a mandatory waiting period.

Daily Loss Limit

A daily loss limit is arguably the single most practical responsible gambling control available. Once your maximum acceptable daily loss is reached, the Platform stops your session automatically. You retain complete control without having to rely on willpower in the moment.

Session Time Budget

Set a maximum session duration based on what is realistic for your schedule — not the longest possible session you could theoretically afford. Extended sessions lead to more impulsive decisions. Most players report better experiences in sessions of 60 minutes or less.

Monthly Review

Review your account activity history at the end of each month. Compare your total deposits, total withdrawals and net result. This honest accounting helps maintain a realistic picture of gambling as the entertainment expense it actually is.

Illustrative Budget Examples (PKR)

The figures below are purely illustrative examples of how a responsible gambling budget might look for different types of users. They are not recommendations and do not imply guaranteed outcomes.

Casual Player — Weekly Budget PKR 1,000 – 2,000
Casual Player — Daily Loss Limit PKR 500
Moderate Player — Weekly Budget PKR 5,000 – 10,000
Moderate Player — Session Limit 60 minutes
Sports Bettor — Per-Event Max Stake PKR 1,000 – 2,500
Monthly Total Deposit Cap (any level) Whatever you can afford to lose
The figures above are illustrative only. There is no "safe" amount to gamble — only amounts that fit within your personal financial situation. Gambling involves real financial risk and you may lose all funds deposited.

Recognising the Warning Signs

Problem gambling can develop gradually. The earlier it is recognised, the easier it is to address. Review these signs honestly — for yourself or for someone you care about.

If You Recognise These Signs

Identifying warning signs does not mean gambling is beyond your control — it means the tools are available and support is accessible. Recognising a pattern early is a position of strength, not weakness. Use the self-exclusion tools in your account, take a cooling-off break, or contact our support team to discuss your options. For serious concerns, reach out to an appropriate mental health or financial counselling professional in your area.

01

Gambling beyond your budget — spending more than you intended and finding yourself making deposits you had not planned for, to fund a session that was supposed to have already ended.

02

Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes or depositing additional funds specifically to recover money already lost in a session or across recent sessions.

03

Preoccupation with gambling — thinking about gambling frequently during work, family time or social interactions, or planning your next session obsessively.

04

Hiding gambling from family — concealing deposits, withdrawals, wins or losses from a partner, family member or friend because you anticipate disapproval or concern.

05

Borrowing money to gamble — using loans, credit facilities or funds borrowed from family or friends to fund gambling activity, whether directly or indirectly.

06

Gambling affecting responsibilities — missing work, neglecting family commitments, or struggling with daily responsibilities in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere because of time or money spent on gambling.

07

Emotional distress linked to gambling — experiencing anxiety, irritability, depression or mood swings that are directly connected to gambling outcomes — becoming angry after losses or restless when not playing.

08

Failed attempts to cut back — making a genuine decision to reduce or stop gambling, but finding yourself unable to maintain that decision despite real effort.

Self-Exclusion Explained

Self-exclusion is the strongest tool available to you. It completely removes your access to gambling on the Platform for a defined or open-ended period. It is not a sign of weakness — it is one of the most proactive and responsible decisions a player can make.

Self-Exclusion Durations

Available periods: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years or Permanent Exclusion. Once activated, exclusions cannot be reversed before the period expires. For permanent exclusion, revocation is not available. This is intentional — it ensures the protection is meaningful.

What Happens During Exclusion

During an active self-exclusion: your account login is disabled, deposits are blocked, all marketing communications are suppressed, and any bonus balances are forfeited. Account balances, if any, will be returned to you via your registered payment method after identity verification.

How to Request Self-Exclusion

  1. Log in to your account and navigate to the Responsible Gambling section in your account settings or security dashboard.

  2. Select "Self-Exclusion" from the available responsible gambling tools. You will be presented with the available exclusion durations and an explanation of what each entails.

  3. Choose your exclusion period. Consider carefully — especially for longer periods — as shorter self-exclusion requests are more likely to be extended than shortened. If you are in doubt, choose a longer period.

  4. Confirm your identity to proceed. This step ensures the exclusion is applied to the correct account and prevents accidental or unauthorised exclusion requests.

  5. Receive confirmation. Your exclusion will take effect immediately following confirmation. A confirmation message will be sent to your registered email address. Retain this for your records.

  6. Contact support at [email protected] if you encounter any issues with the self-exclusion process. Support is available in English and Urdu. Alternatively, you may request self-exclusion directly through support chat or email if the in-account tool is not accessible.

If you have been self-excluded, please do not attempt to create a new account to circumvent the exclusion. Doing so is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and will result in permanent account closure.

Quick Check-In

The following questions are not a diagnostic tool — they are a starting point for honest personal reflection. If you answer "yes" to several of these, it may be worth taking a short break or speaking to someone.

Have you spent more on gambling this month than you originally planned — even slightly?
Have you ever deposited more money specifically to chase a loss from the same session or a previous session?
Have you ever hidden a gambling transaction, loss, or win from a family member, partner or close friend?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling during work, studies, family meals or other non-gambling activities?
Have you ever felt anxious, irritable or low when you could not access gambling, or after a significant loss?
Have you ever used money set aside for household expenses, rent, utility bills or other necessities to fund a gambling session?
Has gambling ever caused you to miss a family gathering, work commitment, or important event — in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or anywhere else?
Have you previously decided to stop or reduce your gambling but found yourself returning to it within a short period?

If you answered "yes" to two or more of these questions, consider activating a cooling-off period or speaking to a qualified counsellor. 150vip support is available at [email protected] in English and Urdu.

Protecting Minors — Adults Only

150vip is strictly an adults-only platform. Access is permitted only to individuals aged 18 years and over, or the higher minimum age required by the operator's license jurisdiction. Being 18+ does not make gambling legally permitted in Pakistan — local laws may restrict or prohibit gambling, and users are solely responsible for understanding the law applicable to them.

If you share a device with family members in your household — in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad or elsewhere — please take the following precautions to prevent underage access:

  • Always log out of your 150vip account when you finish a session, especially on shared devices or family computers;
  • Never save your login credentials in a browser or password manager on a shared device;
  • Use device-level parental controls to restrict access to gambling websites for minors in your household;
  • Keep your account username and password strictly private — do not share them with anyone, including family members or friends;
  • If a minor has gained access to your account, contact support immediately at [email protected]. We will assist you promptly.

Parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio and similar tools can be configured to block gambling websites on home networks and devices used by children. We encourage all parents and guardians in Pakistan to make use of these resources.

Getting Help

If gambling has become a problem — for you or someone you know — help is available. The following information is provided as a starting point. 150vip does not endorse or have commercial relationships with any of the resource types listed below.

Talk to Someone You Trust

Speaking to a trusted family member, close friend or community elder about a gambling problem is often the first and most important step. In Pakistani culture, family support networks are strong — use them. Acknowledging a problem to someone you trust reduces isolation, which is one of the factors that makes problem gambling harder to address.

Mental Health & Counselling

Qualified mental health professionals and counsellors can provide structured support for problem gambling. Pakistan has a growing network of licensed psychologists and counsellors operating in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other major cities. Your primary care doctor can also provide a referral to appropriate services in your area.

150vip Support

Our support team is available via Live Chat and email at [email protected] — in English and Urdu. We can help you activate any responsible gambling tool on the Platform, including cooling-off periods and self-exclusion. Reaching out to our support team for responsible gambling assistance is always treated with the strictest confidentiality.

Financial Counselling

If gambling has created debt or financial difficulty, a qualified financial counsellor can help you understand your options and create a practical recovery plan. Several non-profit financial counselling organisations operate in Pakistan's major cities. Contact your nearest community welfare centre for a referral.

Gamblers Anonymous Model

Peer support communities based on the Gamblers Anonymous twelve-step model are available internationally and some communities exist in digital form accessible to Pakistani users. These peer-based groups provide a confidential, non-judgmental environment where individuals share experience and support one another through recovery.

Self-Exclusion as a First Step

If you are not yet ready to speak with a counsellor but want to take immediate action, use our self-exclusion tool right now. Removing access to the Platform is a concrete, reversible-only-after-the-period-ends step that gives you breathing room to reassess without the constant availability of gambling as a pressure point.
